Picturing the dark

After surviving a dangerous attack in the spring, August finds Audrey Markum facing her attacker’s trial at the same time her friend’s baby has been kidnapped. Desperately searching for clues with her friend Detective Rodriguez, they know that the statistics are against them. Audrey wishes for her assailant’s trial to speed ahead while simultaneously trying to stretch out the time they have to locate the tiny infant. Something tells her though, that she can’t have it both ways.
